The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (ESV)

Lord, thank you for the salvation that you gave us through your son, Jesus Christ. We have nothing to fear because the light of the world has come.

Jesus said: As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. (ESV)

Lord, we know that true joy comes only from knowing you and loving you. Help us to keep your commandments and stay in your love. Amen

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (ESV)

God, we know that you are always with us and our strength is found in you.

Jesus said: And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. (ESV)

Jesus, we know that you give generously to us. All we have to do is ask you to be the Lord of our lives and you will open the door for us.

for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end. He delivers and rescues; he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions. (ESV)

Lord, We are so grateful that you have saved us and we praise you because your kingdom endures forever.

Jesus said: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. (ESV)

Jesus, thank you for standing at our door and calling to us. We invite you in to our home and our hearts to join us in this meal. Amen

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (ESV)

God, fill our hearts with your love so that our words are always pleasing to you. Amen

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (ESV)

Thank you Lord for bringing us your word and your truth that sets us free. Amen

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. (ESV)

Lord, we praise you for your goodness and we rejoice in your everlasting love!

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (ESV)

Jesus, thank you for giving yourself for us so that we could have faith and know that you live in everyone who believes in you.

Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you know! Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. (ESV)

God thank you for sending your son Jesus down to earth to be our refuge. You alone are the creator of all things and we believe that all of your words are true.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.  Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. (ESV)

Jesus, help us to see others the way you do and to love others the way you do. Amen

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (ESV)

Lord, we are grateful that your faithfullness never ends even when we are not faithful to you. Thank you for your mercy and your love that are with us every day. Amen

Jesus said to her, Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. (ESV)

Jesus, we know that you are the only well of eternal life. We thank you Lord for filling us with your Holy Spirit. Amen

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.  (ESV)

Lord, we are so grateful that you have blessed us by giving us your word. Thank you for your guidance and wisdom and give us the desire to learn your truth. Amen

your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. (ESV)

God, thank you for your Holy Spirit that you have given to live in us and guide us. Help us to always honor you with our body and to bring glory to you in everything we do. Amen

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy (ESV)

God, we thank you for your love and mercy and for redeeming us. You forgive us and you heal us. May we bless you and praise you every day of our lives! Amen

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (ESV)

Jesus, thank you for giving yourself so that we could believe in you and spend eternity with you in heaven.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (ESV)

Lord, help us to speak in a way that honors you and to do what is pleasing to you. In this way, we show our gratitude for all that you have done for us. Amen

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (ESV)

God, we thank you that you have made a way for us and that we don’t have to have all the answers. We only have to trust in you and you will guide us as we turn to you in everything we do.
