For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold  from those who walk uprightly. (ESV)

Lord, help us to always walk uprightly and to make our dwelling place with you. You light the way for us and you protect us because we belong to you. Amen

walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. (ESV)

Jesus, help us to always increase our knowledge of you so that everything we say and do is for the glory of your kingdom. Amen

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and good will among men (ESV)

Jesus said: Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms…I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (ESV)

God, thank you for giving us this life and for preparing a place for us in heaven where we will live with you for all eternity, Amen

It has seemed good to me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done for me. How great are his signs, how mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion endures from generation to generation. (ESV)

Lord we know you are able to do mighty things and we trust you to do what is best for us. Thank you for preparing a place for us in your everlasting kingdom.

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. (ESV)

Father, you have adopted us and made us your children. We ask that you draw us into a deeper relationship with you, confident that we are loved and eager to bear your name well! Amen
