The Lord is my strength and my shield;  in him my heart trusts, and I am helped (ESV)

Lord thank you for being strong when I am not and for being my shield whenever I need protection. I will trust in you because you have always been and will always be my protector. Amen

Jesus said: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (ESV)

Jesus, we will not be afraid because our peace comes from you and we have the assurance that one day we will be with you forever. Amen

Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (ESV)

Help us Lord to be humble toward each other so that we will demonstrate your grace and your love to everyone. Amen

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. (ESV)

Lord Jesus, we rejoice because your love has set us free and we will never again be slaves to sin. Amen

But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it. (ESV)

Lord Jesus, help us to have faith like a child who trusts in their loving father. Amen

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation. (ESV)

Lord, help us to put all of our trust in you and not fear because you have saved us. Amen
