Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. (ESV)

Jesus, you are the light of the world. We will rise and show your glory. Amen

Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created. (ESV)

Jesus, you are the glorious Son of God who has dominion over all of creation and we will honor and praise your holy name. Amen

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (ESV)

Jesus, we know that we are one body with our brothers and sisters in Christ and your peace will rule in us and we will give thanks to you. Amen

Then he said to them, Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. (ESV)

God, every day belongs to you and we will be joyful because you have given us your strength. Amen

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. (ESV)

God, you are the armor that enables us to stand in the face of evil. Help us to remember that our fight is not with people in this world but with the forces of darkness which you have already overcome. Amen

And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. And he said to them, Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you. (ESV)

Jesus, we rejoice today because of your sacrifice and resurrection. We have been set free. Amen
