the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (ESV)

Jesus, thank you for giving your life to save us from our sins. Help us to give our lives to you by serving others. Amen

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways (ESV)

Father, you are higher than all others and you are worthy of all praise! Amen

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.  And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. (ESV)

Holy Spirit, we ask you to reveal to us any of these areas where we are falling short and to help us grow into your image. Amen

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (ESV)

Jesus, we will stay in you because you have taken all of our condemnation on yourself and you have set us free! Amen

You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. (ESV)

God, we will stay behind you and follow you, because we know that you will always lead us to where you want us to go. Amen

Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. (ESV)

Jesus, you are the rock and we will build our lives on you so that when the storms come, we will not be moved. Amen
